Back in 2008, Noah Kirkman was picked up by Oregon police for not wearing a helmet while cycling. Sadly, he was only with his step-father at the time and as such, the police did not recognize him to have a legal guardian.

It has been a long legal battle, but finally, last Friday a U.S. Judge ruled that Noah would be allowed to return to Canada. What has he been doing all this time in the states? Well, it wasn’t fun and games. He was shuffled between foster homes, and then moved some more, and waiting… waiting to come home.

Lisa Kirkman, his mother, said the news was difficult to believe after having waited so long to bring her boy home.

There is no set date for Noah’s return, but they are expecting the end of June after the school year has finished. After his return, the judge ruled that Noah must first live with his grandparents, and after adjusting, he may be allowed to move back in with his mother.

Lisa Kirkman believes that this case was delayed and prolonged due to the fact that she has edited marijuana elated magazines and has a record for growing medicinal marijuana for her husband.

Well, I’m an oil country boy, but it’s nice to see a fellow Albertan finally coming home.
